NOTICE

FRUITLAND TOWNSHIP

PUBLIC HEARING

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Fruitland Township Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 starting at 5:30  p.m., in the Fruitland Township Hall, 4545 Nestrom Road, Whitehall, Michigan 49461, to consider the creation of a Special Assessment District to be known as the:

 

“Old Orchard Subdivision 2026 Road Improvement.”

 

Prior to commencing any such improvements, the Board of Trustees is holding this special meeting to consider maps, plans, and estimates of the cost of the proposed improvements as prepared by the Muskegon County Road Commission which are on file in the Township Clerk’s Office and available for review. At this meeting the Board of Trustees will consider whether to proceed by resolution to identify the cost of the proposed improvement, and if it so desires to provide for the making of the special assessments upon each parcel of land in the proposed above named Special Assessment Districts. The proposed improvements are generally described as the application of bituminous surfacing and other necessary and incidental improvements of the entirety of the districts. Anyone who has an objection to the proposed improvements or the proposed special assessment districts may be heard at this special meeting.

 

Currently on file in the Township Clerk’s office is a list of the property identification numbers of the properties to be assessed along with maps depicting the area of the proposed special assessment districts which can be reviewed at the Fruitland Township Hall Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services will be provided for individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids who want to attend the meeting, upon reasonable notification to the Fruitland Township Clerk.
